This is a great way to introduce you and your child to the rhythm, patterns, and fun of Irish dance while working on listening and gross motor skills, and not having to commit to a full semester of classes. Learning the very basics of Irish Dance & music at a young age can be very beneficial and helpful for children who decide to continue with Irish Dance into the future.

Outdoor Classes - Saturdays
Weather permitting, we offer outdoor classes on Saturday mornings held at Shelby Park. More information can be provided once you are a registered student.

For more advanced classes, please email us at wendy@scott-ellis.com

What to Bring/Wear

Dancers should wear comfortable athletic clothes, socks, sneakers or jazz shoes, and hair should be pulled back. Once you're registered and committed to classes, we can help you order beginner soft shoes for your dancer.

*All dancers start in soft shoes or "ghillies" which are similar to a ballet type shoe. Once they learn the basics of soft shoe, they will advance to learning hard shoe as well. Hard shoes are similar to tap shoes.
